Painting and decorating
Good painting is mostly preparation: filling cracks, treating damp, skimming and priming. We protect floors and furniture, paint homes, commercial premises and communal stairwells, and leave the space clean so you can use it the day we finish.
What it includes
- Protection of floors, doors and furniture
- Crack repair and wall preparation
- Removal of textured (gotelé) finishes
- Emulsion, gloss and damp-resistant paints
- Stairwells and communal areas

Frequently asked questions
Does textured gotelé have to be removed before painting?
It isn't compulsory, but if you want smooth walls this is the time to do it. It can be scraped off or skimmed over with filler, depending on how well it is bonded, and the wall then needs priming before painting.
Which paint is best for a damp wall?
First the source of the damp has to be found and fixed: no paint stops a leak. Once the wall has been treated, an anti-mould or damp-resistant paint helps stop the stains from coming back.
