Frequently asked questions
Can a kitchen be renovated without changing the services?
Sometimes, but if the pipes or the electrical circuit are old it usually makes sense to renew them at the same time: once the tiling and units are fitted, any repair means opening things up again.
Can I open the kitchen onto the dining room?
It depends on whether the wall between them is load-bearing or just a partition. That has to be checked before anything is knocked down, and in some cases it needs reinforcement or sign-off from a technician.
