Floor replacement

A new floor changes a whole home. We take up the old flooring or, if the base is sound, lay the new one over it to save rubble and days on site. We level, choose the material to suit how each room is used, and finish skirtings and doors so everything fits.

What it includes

  • Removal of the old floor, or laying over it
  • Levelling and self-levelling screed
  • Ceramic and large-format porcelain tiles
  • Vinyl and laminate flooring
  • Skirtings, trims and door adjustments

Frequently asked questions

Can a new floor be laid over the old one?

Often, yes, if the old floor is well bonded and flat. It saves rubble and time, but it raises the floor level, so doors, skirtings and thresholds into other rooms need checking before deciding.

Vinyl, laminate or porcelain: which should I choose?

Porcelain is the toughest and works anywhere, including kitchens and bathrooms. Vinyl is warm, quiet and water resistant. Laminate is affordable and pleasant underfoot, but it is not suited to wet areas.
