Drainage downpipes
The fibre-cement and cast-iron downpipes in older buildings eventually crack and cause damp that always shows up in the wrong flat. We replace them with sound-insulated PVC, working section by section and coordinating access with residents so the job doesn't drag on.
What it includes
- Diagnosis of the fault and the source of the damp
- Replacement with sound-insulated PVC
- Section-by-section work in an occupied building
- Repair of wall surfaces and making-good
- Coordination with the property administrator

Frequently asked questions
When does a downpipe need replacing?
When recurring damp, noise, smells or leaks appear in the flats it passes through, or when the material is old — fibre cement or cast iron — and shows cracks or corrosion.
Can old fibre-cement downpipes contain asbestos?
Those made from fibre cement before asbestos was banned in Spain in 2002 could contain it. If so, removal must be carried out by an authorised company registered in the RERA (Register of Companies at Risk from Asbestos).
